Paula's pet care in London: house sitting, pet sitting, healing, reiki

Have Treat, Will Travel!

I offer trustworthy house sitting combined with loving pet sitting in London. It means excellent animal care in the comfort of their own homes – your pets will miss you when you go on holidays, they don’t need to be under any more stress than that!

I am an approved and insured member of Petsitters Alliance and have clear UK CRB (Criminal Records Bureau)/DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). I have experience looking after small mammals, dogs, cats, birds, fish, and interest and willingness to learn looking after any other types of animals. In addition to adoring your pets, I will look after your home, plants, post, and whatever else needs careful tending.

I work from my mobile office, so I spend most of my time at home (except when at university or placements, a couple of half days a week). This means that your house will have a living presence and rarely be empty, and your pets will have almost 24/7 company and attention. Dog walking and cat playing is, of course, included in my package!

I am available for limited period pet day care, overnight sitting and visits.

As a big fan of Solidarity Economy, I offer my services on a pay what feels right basis. I believe it is the most fair and honest way to work with something I love so much – and it allows me to offer my services to those who may not be able to afford proper care for their beloved pets. I also accept FairCoin.

Paula Góes is an approved member of Petsitters Alliance

If you need loving pet care anywhere in London, please contact me directly, or book me through an agency – I work with Pawpairs, Very Important Pets and SitMyHouse (make sure you request to book Paula Góes). Alternatively, you can use an independent website such as Tailster and MyDogBuddy (use code BW755 for a £10 off first booking in this last one). These last two are paid services offering insurance and emergency support.

Here are some of the adorable pets I have looked after.

House / Pet sitting References

Simone (Dog sitting, 2015)

I found Paula to be very reliable and dependable. She faced some initial difficulties with our dog who tends not to take easily to strangers and managed to forge a good friendship with him by remaining calm and showing him warmth and respect.

Norma (Dog sitting, 2014)

My dogs are all rescued. Two were going to be put to sleep because of behavioural problems which occurred during their first homes. We were therefore worried about anyone being able to look after them. We also recently adopted a cavalier who had been used for breeding in a puppy farm. She was not used to being around people or in a home environment, but was very sweet. My one little gentle dog will be 17 in February so you can imagine how concerned I was leaving my precious furries with a stranger. However, when I saw Paula’s details and photograph she ‘pinged’ out at me and I just knew she would be perfect and I was soooo right! Teddy was a little wary at first but the two problem dogs took to her straight away. Tilly also relaxed with her. When we returned from our short break it was very late in the evening but when we got home Paula was waiting up for us with the doggies and they all looked perfectly happy and well. The house was lovely and tidy – it was as if nobody had been in our house. Paula is a lovely, gently girl. She has a wonderful aura around her which attracts animals and she allows them to come to her in their own time. She also has a good way with people and I knew I could trust her as soon as I met her. If we should be lucky enough to have another holiday in the future, I would not hesitate to use Paula again. She is the best person for this kind of work and I am so grateful to her.

Alison (Dog sitting, 2014)

Paula looked after our two French Bulldogs, Vladimir and Toulouse in our home while we were on holiday for two weeks. She had already been to meet us a few weeks before we went away, just to see how she got along with the boys. They are a pair of softies so all was good from the start, Paula is a natural with my dogs and I felt very confident that they would be looked after well very soon after meeting her. I am normally a bit anxious leaving my dogs as I always worry that no-one will give them the same care and love that I do. With Paula there was none of that, she kept in touch with us almost daily and sent lots of photos of V & T, whenever there was something she wasn’t sure about, she got in touch to make sure she did the right thing. She really had the dogs best interests at heart. I didn’t worry at all while we were away, and we came home to two very happy dogs and I have to add that the house was the tidiest I’ve ever seen it !!! We will be using Paula again for as long as we have dogs, I would highly recommend her to anyone who has dogs that are used to lots of affection and walks and games. Thank you so much Paula !!! We have already booked next years holiday, so will be in touch soon : )

Delphine (Cat sitting, 2014)

Paula has now cat sitted for me twice.
She is extremely reliable, friendly, trustworthy, responsible, keeps the house tidy and stays in touch while I’m away with emails, texts, photos and Skype to make sure I know my cat is ok and to give me piece of mind so I can enjoy my time away.
Both time my cat was well looked after and I found my home spotless when I returned.
I will definitely call upon Paula to cat sit for me again in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Jude (Cat sitting, 2014)

Paula was absolutely fantastic – great communication and excellent care of our flat and cat. She went above and beyond by ensuring that our bed linen and towels were washed and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thank you Paula.

Sally (Dog and cat sitting, 2014)

Paula did a fabulous job looking after our rottie, daschund, cat and house while we were away. We returned from our two week holiday to a lovely tidy home and very contented pets.

Mary (Cat sitting, 2014)

I would highly recommend Paula for house/pet sitting! She is very flexible with her time and is a conscientious sitter. She sent me regular updates and photos of my cat, who I was missing very much. She looked after my home and pet very well while I was away for two weeks and I am looking forward to having her back again. Very responsible person and I trust her very much!

I’ve known Paula for five years.

She is a very responsible and motivated person, who has recently focused on her personal development and convictions.

She has a lot of life experience, having started a journalist in her native Brazil and started over again in London over a decade ago.

She works from home for Global Voices, a respected international media organisation, and studies, and for this she has to be very organised.

She takes care of her lovely and eccentric Bengal cat, Miss Bojangles and a number of beautiful house plants.

I cannot recommend her enough as a potential housesitter.

Paula is a really lovely, warm person who has a great connection with animals (she even offered me free cat reiki services!). She is very tidy, communicative on the phone/by email and overall a great honest and responsible person. I would highly recommend her.

Paula Goes has been a guest in my home and I have nothing but praise for her. She is neat, helpful and trustworthy. She is also an animal lover. Recommended! Would be glad to have her back anytime.

Paula is a very dear friend and colleague who I’ve known for nearly five years. Apart from her considerable talents as a translator and community manager, she is a great person to travel and stay with — this suggests to me that she would make a great house sitter. When I stayed with her earlier this year, I was humbled by her kind, clean, generous, and thoughtful ways as a hostess. And I had a lovely time getting to know her cat 🙂

Claire Ulrich

Paula is an extremely generous and thoughtful person, with a gift for problems solving and attention to details.
I heartily recommend Paula for any and every house sitting request, knowing that her warmth and common sense will win the hearts of the household while you are away.

Paula and I have shared a flat twice. Besides being an excelent flatmate, she is a top friend and guest. We have hosted each other from time to time, whenever needed and convenient. She is a kind of “youŕe always welcome” guest. Itś beautiful to see her deep love for pets. She lives according to what she believes, regarding her sustainable life. I highly recommend her.
